2007 was the year my life turned right-side up. It started with me finding my job at Skoll and then just six months later, meeting Lee. It was one of the best years ever. My role at Skoll has varied over the last 10 years and I've loved being a part of the Foundation ever since day one. I'm one of eight people who have been there at least 10 years. When someone arrives at the 10-year mark they get a special department lunch and celebration; I was no exception. On April 19 (the day after my work anniversary), my department and a couple other colleagues arranged a hire-aversary lunch for me at Delfina. The company was great and the food (and blood orange soda) were delicious. We reminisced about my hiring process and interviews and how we all knew Skoll and I were a fit from the very beginning. They also gave me a congratulatory card that was enormous - larger than 8.5" x 11" signed by everyone at the foundation. As I read the card and all the kind words, I certainly felt a lot of love that day. I feel as fortunate today as I did 10 years ago that I'm part of such an incredible organization working with wonderful and dedicated colleague and enjoying what I do!
