Lee and I are officially geeks. Lee has spent the last four days up in the city attending the Adobe MAX conference. He's learning all sorts of stuff (he spares me the details as I wouldn't understand any of them). I have benefited from his conference attendance however.... We've taken advantage two of the last three nights to hang out in the city and spend time with Joy and Collin.

Night One was Monday and we all went out to dinner at A-16. Joy and I have wanted to go here FOR YEARS! It's always too crowded to get a last minute reservation -- but we planned ahead and finally made it there! They are known for their pizza Napoleatana. For those of you not fortunate enough to know what that is... it's TRUE pizza! It's thin crust pizza baked in a wood oven. And the entire pizza is for ONE person! I love how Italians eat right! I would have never known I was in the middle of San Francisco that night while I devoured my pizza Margherita. Especially when it was followed by nocciola (hazelnut) gelato. We'll definitely have to go back.

Night Two was Tuesday -- and this was where our geekiness shined. The Adobe MAX conference put on a huge event for their attendees at the Academy of Sciences and the De Young Museum. The Museum was closed to just the conference participants from 7:30 - 10:30pm. I pretended to be Lee and Lee pretended to be his colleague and Joy dropped us off in the park for a night of education. We had visited the Academy about a month ago -- but didn't get there early enough to get tickets for the Planetarium. So we were really excited when we were able to experience it last night. It is truly incredible. It's the world's largest digital planetarium and was unlike anything we've ever seen. I think it was the highlight of the night. We then planned on checking out the De Young - UNTIL we learned about the Adobe MAX challenge. There were 17 stations throughout the museums with key words that if you texted them to a particular number, the response was a multiple choice question. Whoever answered the most correctly was eligible for a prize drawing. Once we learned of that -- we spent the next hour and a half visiting the stations and playing the game. Our geekiness totally paid off though when Lee won the Adobe Photoshop CS4 package! I know few others who could put such a cool prize to use..... And yes, we are geeks! At least that trait is shared by both of us....
