Parker Gets Married!!!!!

I love Christina Parker and her new husband Mike!  They are two incredible people and they got married in Salt Lake City on December 30, 2008.    We love them so much that we were crazy enough to ping pong between La Grande, OR and SLC for the day.  We headed to Boise on the night of the 29th and stayed with Lee's sister and brother-in-law so we could make our 6am flight.  We landed at 7am and spent the next 13 hours in SLC before returning back to Boise that night.  It was completely insane but entirely worth it!

Mike and Christina got married at the Memorial House in Salt Lake at 10am on the 30th.  They were s o fortunate and got married on a beautiful, sunny day with bright, white snow all over Memorial Grove Park.  Their pictures are bound to be beautiful!  Our fabulous Bishop married them and the ceremony was one of the most beautiful, touching and loving ceremonies I have ever been to.  There was so much love eminating from EVERYONE.  There were only a few dry eyes in the room.  The love Mike and Christina share was so evident and the love everyone there had for the two of them was incredibly strong.  It was absolutely amazing.  It was a wonderful day and I'm so glad we were able to be there.

We took a big group picture outside at a monument and had to trek over ice to get there.  It was nearly comical watching all the ladies in heels try to keep themselves upright.   Mike and Christina held a luncheon after the ceremony and even had music for dancing.  I would have been all over the dancing if it weren't for the 12 darling flower girls that stole the show on the dance floor.  They were WAY too cute.  I think my favorite parts were watching them sing to Sweet Caroline and do the Macarena (which they sang as My Christina).  SOO cute.   We took lots of pictures at the wedding.  Check them out!  Mike & Christina's Wedding Day

From the time the wedding ceremony and luncheon ended until our eight o'clock flight, we were lucky enough to see the Westovers.  Rob and Carrie are two of my most favorite people on earth and it kills me that they live all the way in Dallas, Texas.  They happened to be in Provo visiting Rob's parents and left them for a few hours to meet up with us.  I got to meet their newest little boy, Harvey and they got to meet Lee!  He understood right off why I love them so much.  I really wish they lived closer to us...

We also got to see two more of my favorite people on earth in Boise that night when we flew back.  Jen and Mark put us up for the night at their place.  They have the cutest little girls. It's been a definite perk having Lee's family so close to Boise that I get to see them more often than I used to.
