What a fabulous final three days we have had! Our flight to Iguazu was seamless and we arrived to a very HOT and SUNNY destination! We splurged and actually stayed at a hotel here in Iguazu, Argentina these last three nights and it has been WONDERFUL. They have a fantastic pool and we´ve actually managed to spend a little time pool side (you can do that when it´s still boiling hot at 5pm!). We even caught a spectacular sunset that first night.

The BEST day of our trip was yesterday (Friday, Feb 20). We went to the Argentina side of the falls. We woke up that morning not quite sure which side we would visit as our little camera happened to make a side trip to Brazil the night before and we didn´t quite know how best to get it. Turns out we were quite fortunate and it was delivered to our hotel in the morning. Phew!

We LOVED Iguazu. No waterfalls will EVER be the same after seeing these. It was incredible. We had amazing weather and spent a full 8 hours in the park. We wandered, took photos from every angle possible and even went on a brief boat ride that took us close enough to the falls to get SOAKED. If you have seen these falls, you know how incredible they are. If you haven´t, YOU MUST GO! They are beyond description. We also saw iguanas, tons of butterflies, lizards, some huge and awful looking spiders, massive ants, and some very bold coatis (they scared Katie a lot). Our timing throughout the day seemed impeccable and as we walked across the final stretch to see the falls from above, we caught the most beautiful rainbow over the falls. It really was one of the best days ever. It ended with a dip in the pool and another sunset.

Today was also pretty darn fantastic.  Today we ventured over to Brazil to see the panaromic view of the falls. This too was gorgeous, especially the view of the Devil´s Throat.  Simply unbelievable.  We also went to the Bird Park which was actually pretty cool.  We got to see VERY up close toucans, macaws, rheas, parrots, snakes, turtles, flamingos, humming birds and a ton of others.  It was really cool.  There was even one funky colored toucan that swooped Lee´s head and a tame macaw climbed up Katie´s arm (which freaked her out of course).

We´ve LOVED it up here. It´s been so relaxing and wonderful.  Plus, the falls are just beyond words.  Tomorrow is a LONG day of traveling and back to reality.  We´re not looking forward to either!
