With all of the Patagonia training and traveling, we haven't gotten much time in on the slopes.  Lucky for us, my cousin Joy planned a weekend in Tahoe this last weekend and we were able to join in on the fun!  She rented a cabin in Tahoe City and a good sized group of us drove up on Friday for the weekend.  Our weekend ended Saturday night at 8pm when we drove back in order to be home for our Sunbeams on Sunday -- although it was a short trip, it was definitely worth it!  AND as if skiing at Tahoe on a sunny, blue-skyed day wasn't enough -- we (Lee and me) were surprised when we pulled into the cabin and there was Ayrowyn!  She drove over from SLC for the weekend.  SO MUCH FUN!

The group elected to ski at Squaw Valley on Saturday.  Last time Joy and I skied there we left with a sour taste in our mouth but decided we should give it another shot.  Lee hadn't ever been there either.  So off we went Saturday morning!  It was a gorgeous day spring day.  The snow left a little to be desired, but the company was fantastic and so were the views!  We had a lot of fun.  We did remember why we don't love Squaw (runs are WAY too short) -- but it still was great fun. I hadn't skied with Ay since she as super young (and as she reminded me, the time her dad landed on her arm and broke it one Thanksgiving).  She's a rock star skier - it was impossible to keep up with her and Joy.  (Even with crappy snow conditions).   :) We did find pretty decent snow and longer runs the last couple of hours - and ended the day going strong.  We kicked it with everyone at the cabin for a few hours before heading back home...  If only we had had one more day to spend with the Tanner girls.  Why can't we have three day weekends every weekend?  Thanks for driving over Ay.  So great to see you!

The few photos we took are in the gallery.
