Lee celebrates his 32nd birthday on Sunday, May 16.  Since we will be celebrating Connor's high school graduation in Bruneau on the 16th, that called for an early birthday celebration. Lee was told to keep his Thursday night (May 13) free and clear because I had plans for the two of us!  Celebrating this year took a little creativity since we've set ourselves a pretty strict budget with all the home remodeling we have underway.   But, I think I succeeded.

The night started off with a trip to the city.  It didn't take long for Lee to figure out we were headed to city for the night, but our first destination remained a mystery until we joined the ticket line at the SF MOMA.  Currently at the MOMA there is a really interesting photography exhibit that I hoped Lee would love.   The exhibit depicts the influence of San Francisco's (and other) photographers on the evolution of art photography.  We really enjoyed seeing shots of historic San Francisco and Yosemite.   I think it's safe to say it was a good birthday choice. 

Given that Lee is a meat and potatoes man and LOVES a good steak, I REALLY wanted to splurge and take him to one of the top SF steak houses, but that would mean winning the lottery (or foregoing a new window or two in the house).  So instead we dined at Izzy's Steaks and Chops.  We both really enjoyed our meals - the fillets weren't quite up to Patagonian/Argentine standards, but it was plenty good for us.  We didn't even have room for dessert.

Lee's birthday present awaited him at home -- and we can't wait to test it out next weekend.  It's a Coleman Camp Stove OVEN!   How fun is that going to be?

I loved celebrating the cutest husband ever.  He truly is the best and I don't know what I did to get so lucky.  He's absolutely perfect!

I'm feeling slightly guilty that we didn't celebrate with all our fabulous friends, but I just had to keep the cutest boy ever to myself!
