Last week I got a call from Lee's grandmother asking if we would be in town this last week.  They were road tripping from Idaho to Vegas to L.A. and back to Idaho.  They stopped and stayed for a couple nights before heading back to Bruneau.  We were SOOO excited to have them come and visit.  We emptied out the supply room and FINALLY washed the walls and rid them of the acoustic ceiling droppings.  We even managed to find sheets and a pillow!  Our guest room hosted its first guests!

The Steiners really wanted to help us around the house.  So while I went to work, Grandpa Steiner and Lee replaced the non-functioning bathroom fan, greased the sliding glass doors so they actually slide (novel, I know), tore up the entry way tile, replaced the switches and outlets in four rooms AND replaced all the window screens!!  I think the window screen upg rade was my favorite.  I can't believe how much better it makes everything look!  Thank you Grandpa Steiner!!! Grandma Steiner painted closets doors and once I got home, I painted the office.   It's amazing how much progress is made with multiple sets of hands.    They really worked wonders for us!

Friday night was another experiment on the new grill and was another success.  Lee's grilling skills have jumped leaps and bounds overnight with the arrival of this new grill.  He was good before, but now he's fantastic!

Saturday morning the Steiners had to return home and I headed to the temple with the young women I work with at church.  I'm really enjoying getting to know the girls.  Although it was an EARLY morning, it was totally worth it!

Not much additional progress was made on the house yesterday, however.  We did wrap up the painting in the office and Lee did some drywall work around the new fan in the bathroom.  We also tackled our first plumbing job.  It only took three trips to Dale's (the AWESOME hardware store around the co rner), but now our tub and shower faucets work flawlessly.

We certainly enjoyed our visit with the Steiners.  Thank you SO much for coming to visit! We can't wait for next time.
