Before Spring even hits, my family has "Cousins Weekend" on the calendar!  This year it was the weekend of August 12 - 15th.  We decided early on that we couldn't afford (on several levels) to go this year.  BUT when half of the Bear Lake crew was at Lani and Kyle's wedding last month - I caved.  I just couldn't stand the idea of not being with everyone.   And as our frustrations with the floor have continued to escalate, the weekend at Bear Lake kept looking like a better and better idea.

We cut the weekend short, flying in LATE on Friday night and flying out EARLY on Monday morning.  But by keeping this crazy schedule, we also were able to recruit Kyle and surprise the Tanners.  The schedule kept our sleeping at a minimum, but we are so glad we went.  Not only was it so much fun to see everyone, but we loved escaping from the house projects and seeing the sun!  Between the cold summer in California and the time suck that is our house - this was the first sun we've seen all summer!  It felt great!!!

The weekend was fabulous.  The food is always delicious, the company is fantastic, the volleyball games are epic and the lake is gorgeous.  Plus, we got to meet baby Bergen (my cousin's 6 month old son) for the first time.   We had wished Nash and my parents had been there.  But aside from that and just plain not wanting to go back on Monday - it was a pretty perfect weekend.
