Nothing about Lani is traditional. Including her approach to their wedding.  She and Kyle got married last summer, are celebrating this August and we had Lani's bachelorette party this last weekend.  The girls that gathered to celebrate with Lani were my mom, Abbie, Joy, Ayrowyn and Aunt Kook.  You couldn't ask for a more fun group of people!  We all flew to Lani and spent Friday evening out in Venice.    Ayrowyn outfitted ALL of us with 80's gear and we danced until closing - mombo's included.  I don't think Venice knew what hit them.....

We had a slow start on Saturday - but packed up the mini-van (rented just for this very special weekend.  Joy was a fabulous driver/soccer mom!) and headed to Port Huaneme.  Lani and Kyle have a friend who's parents have a beach house and were kind enough to let us stay there for the weekend.  The weather was chilly but gorgeous.  We enjoyed walks/runs on the beach, ate like we always do, played cards and laughed until our sides hurt.

We loved being all together.  I wish we lived closer to each other.  We can't wait for the four day party in August.  Bear Lake or Bust!!!
