My brother-in-law accepted an oncology position at a hospital in The Dalles and he and my sister (Abbie) are moving back to Oregon!  They rented a place in Hood River and us Kalembas all met up this last weekend to help her move in.  Each of us girls left our husbands at home and my parents joined us - it's been a long time since it's been just the five of us.  Abbie has landed in a great rental, in a beautiful location, and it makes me wonder sometimes while we are still in California.  We helped her get situated and did a little exploring in Hood River.  The Mount Hood Classic stage race (cycling) was in progress over the weekend and we caught a criterium and the tail end of a road race.  It was fun to watch and inspired me to try to get back on my bike - it's been way too long.  We even got to check out the location for Abbie and Patrick's wedding celebration (scheduled for August, 2013).  It's unbelievable! With views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood - and just off the Columbia River gorge, it's spectacular.  The pictures posted here are ones we took when visiting the venue.  We certainly missed all the boys, but it was nice to collect as a family - I hadn't seen Abbie since Thanksgiving!  Good thing Bear Lake is just around the corner for another visit....
