Whenever we return to our home after we've been away in the summer, our garden is always out of control!  This year it was no different! We came home to a bountiful harvest of green beans, snow peas, cherry tomatoes, zucchini (of all shapes and sizes), and strawberries.  And our carrots and cucumbers are both on their way to large, gorgeous veggies. I love that we can go out to our garden to pick food for dinner instead of running to the store.  It's easy and tastes delicious!  The other night we made stuffed grilled zucchini and it was heavenly.  I wish I had taken a picture, but I was so hungry there was no time for that.   And we're loving the strawberries with the homemade yogurt we've recently started to make (thanks to the introduction from my parents).  Needless to say you won't go without at our house!

The other night Lee encouraged the purchase of a "food saver" so we could preserve our garden extras and take advantage of our nearly empty garage freezer.  We're pretty excited about no more freezer burnt meat/fish/chicken and prolonging the life of our summer vegetables all year long!
