After more years than I can count, our annual friends Christmas party moved from the Smoots home to ours.  This was the first year we've been really "settled" in our house and it was so fun to decorate and get ready for everyone.  Lee even bought poinsettias and beautiful red and white flower arrangements for the table.  I loved the Christmas feel of it all.

Sticking with tradition, the host makes the main dish - and Lee did not disappoint.  He grilled an 18 pound turkey and I made my first batch of gravy!  Both turned out great and dinner was delicious all the way around.  And for dessert Erin brought an incredible gingerbread trifle that blew all our socks off.

We had such a great night catching up with everyone and ended up with two new pretty terrific Christmas ornaments.  It's definitely one of my favorite holiday traditions and I'm so glad that there are still enough of us in the area to continue it.

To see the few pictures we took, check out the gallery.  Please note some of these are a little blurry as these were the first pictures on Lee's new camera and things may not be set up quite right yet....
