On March 19th my dad retired!  Two days later they landed at the Oakland airport and spent nearly two weeks with us.  Four of the days were dedicated to wedding fun for Joy & Collin, and the others disappeared far more quickly than we ever had imagined.  The first weekend they were here we had amazing weather.  Lee and I both took the Friday off and the four of us went up to the city.  We spent a few hours at the California Academy of Sciences, pigged out at Nick's Crispy Tacos (best quesos ever!), and got in an impromptu visit with Joy and Collin.  The day was perfect!  The remainder of their non-wedding days were spent kicking it at our house, going on walks, eating the gallons of delicious ice cream Lee made, resting, enjoying a stroll through Pescadero Marsh, learning about Photoshop, teaching me how to make my dad's awesome bread and a night in Carmel.    The visit was wonderful and I love that they are both retired and can come and visit any time for as long as they want!  They already have plans to return in November to go to the Stanford vs Oregon football game with us.

We also had Lani, Kyle and their awesome dog Nigel spend a few nights with us.  They arrived on Sunday the 24th and stayed with us until we all headed up to Guerneville for the wedding on Friday.   One night they were here we had Erika and the Hardings over.  We even dyed Easter Eggs with Abby and Ivy.  That was super fun.  They are the cutest little girls ever.  Abby LOVED the colors "Wow, it is so beautiful!" she said over and over in her cute 3 year-old voice.

We loved that our kitchen/family room is nearly complete and that we had space to house everyone.  It didn't feel crowded until Thursday night when we squeezed Abbie and Patrick into the office on an Aero Bed.  And even then, it really wasn't all that bad.  It worked out pretty darn well and we loved having everyone.
