Cole & Aubrey's Wedding

Ring Exchange On Friday, March 28th, Cole and Aubrey got married!  We have been waiting for this for a couple of years now and couldn't be happier for them.   The weekend was very full and very busy, but also very wonderful.    Our plan was to arrive in Boise Wednesday night and stay with Zach and Rochelle and the twins before heading to Bruneau on Thursday to help with reception food prep.    On Wednesday afternoon I got a call from Rochelle letting us know we would be arriving to an empty house since Rochelle was filling in to save the day with the wedding cake.  The original cake wasn't quite up to snuff and Rochelle offered to make a new one.    She excelled at the task and by midnight on Thursday night, the cake was finished and beautiful!

Lee and I headed out to Bruneau Thursday morning after recovering from our incredibly late night (flight was over 2 hours late and didn't land until after 1am).   We then spent the entire day and evening in the kitchen chopping, chopping and chopping.   With the help of Zach and Rochelle we cranked out cookies, 10 batches of salsa, fruit salad, pickle skewers and Lee cut over 300 O'Henry bar desserts into tiny little squares that fit in the cutest little boxes.  We had enough food to feed an army! Friday was more food prep and getting everything staged for the reception.   With all the helping hands we managed to be ahead of the game and even got in a run and a little downtime before heading to the church for the ceremony at 4pm.  Lee's Uncle married Cole and Aubrey and did a wonderful job.  Aubrey looked gorgeous and I've never seen Cole happier.  It was a wonderful, wonderful day.

Lee's cousin outdid herself with the decorations and the hall for the reception looked beautiful.  Lots of family and friends came to celebrate their day and it was wonderful to visit with them.  The day was perfect.    We took several pictures, many of which I'd love to post here.  But there are so many it's probably best to just view them in the gallery.  The password is Cole's initials (all lowercase).   My favorite picture(s) though are the ones we got with our cute nieces and nephews.  The first round of pictures Paige was asleep, but we managed to gather everyone up again for a second go around and those turned out pretty cute too!

Saturday was also pretty perfect.  We didn't have food to prep or any jobs to tackle.  We used it as a recovery day and an opportunity to hang with the cute kids.  We certainly wish we got to see more of them. Pianists

Sunday morning was spent in Boise chilling with the twins and Rochelle before heading home.   They are the cutest pair of boys on the planet and such a treat to be with.  We're working really hard to convince them to come see us over the 4th of July!  I hope it works!
