Jack at Ardenwood with the Turtle Lani, Kyle and Jack made the long trek (800 miles) from La Grande to spend several days with us last week.  They arrived Labor Day afternoon and then left the following Sunday.  We hadn't ever spent more than 48 - 60 hours with Jack at any one time and it was SUCH a treat to have them in our home for six nights!

I took a couple of days off and took full advantage of them being in town.    After Jack went to bed each evening, we'd have dinner and visit with Lani, Kyle and any one of their several friends who live in the area.  Jack loved the goats During the day it was all about Jack!  Each afternoon we had an "outing" of some sort.  I took Lani and Jack to Coyote Hills for a walk/run, we ran at Quarry Lakes a few times and one day we went to Ardenwood to feed the farm animals!  Jack was more interested in the sprinklers than the sheep and chickens.  But he did love the goats and would "baaaaa" to them. Fun at the Park   It was darling.  One afternoon we went to the park and did a little swinging. Jack just squealed and squealed and couldn't get enough.  He really is as cute as they come.   Saturday afternoon we took Jack to Aqua Adventure.  He loved it!  So did we.  I think it's great we've got such a fun and affordable summer water park.  Aqua Adventure

Jack  LOVES his parents and I was super excited that within 24 hours of their visit Jack was my friend and would let me hold him and play with him.  He is always saying something and can mimic just about anything you say.  It was also really neat to watch how much he developed in just the few days they were at our house.  We wish we got to see this little guy every day.   It's going to be hard to wait until Christmas to see him again.
