Kimberly's Bachelorette & Wedding Day

DINNER! I thought I would catch up on two big events that happened this summer in honor of Kimberly. The first was the bachelorette weekend in Windsor. Kim booked her time share and we headed up Friday night. There weren't many of us, just those who were past, present and honorary roommates of 908. (Kim, Erika, Erin, Christina, Karen and me.) It had been far too long since we had all been together and spent hours catching up. We also had fun stretching our creativity and came up with some interesting outfits for Miss Kimberly to enjoy during our Saturday festivities. It's amazing what you can do with ribbon, gigantic envelopes, plastic floral wrap, bobby and safety pins.

On the road...

It all started with a late and BIG breakfast and then a trip to the bike shop to rent tandem bicycles. Karen and Christina, Erin and Kim, and Erika and I were the three pairs. With my experience on a road bike, the shop gave Erika and I the road tandem and put me in the driver's seat. Riding that bike was an ENTIRELY different experience. It wasn't until we were on our way back to the shop that Erika and I actually got the take offs and stops under control. It was as if I had never ridden a road bike before. My hands were sore from gripping the handlebars in an effort to keep us from wobbling all over the place. I was SO nervous! Fortunately we improved and didn't go down at all. It was a good thing we had clip less pedals. I have a new found respect for tandem cyclists! But despite the nerves, we had a great time.

The Bride to Be We found a tasty restaurant with a million different servers that took great care of us and were highly entertaining. After dinner the girls headed to see Kim and Erika's boyfriend in the Dark Knight and I headed back to Palo Alto. Definitely a fabulous and fun filled Saturday.

The second event for Kimberly was the BIGGEST event. HER WEDDING DAY! The ceremony was at Nestl Down in Los Gatos and was absolutely beautiful. It was a gorgeous summer day (August 16) and the setting couldn't have been prettier. It was such a beautiful thing to observe their vow exchange - to see the love they have for each other. I especially loved watching Andreas tear up as he watched Kim walk down the aisle.

Erin and Erika were two of her bridesmaids. I guess technically, Erika was her Maid of Honor. They looked beautiful. It probably doesn't need to be stated that Kim was even more gorgeous (as a bride shall be!). Their reception was also beautiful. They held it in the gardens of an incredible home in Palo Alto. The entire day was perfectly Kim. Congratulations Kim & Andreas!
