I have the most darling Gram in all the world (followed closely by the two new grandma's that I am now lucky to have in my life).  Her name is Grandma Katie (my namesake) and is one of the most amazing women I have ever known - that most people have ever known.  She changes the lives of everyone she meets.  Unfortunately, aging is a horrible thing and she isn't quite who she used to be - but she still means more to me than I can begin to describe.  I am so grateful we were able to visit her this last weekend.

Gram lives in Madison, WI and it isn't the easiest destination for a weekend trip.  So we took advantage of the Columbus Day holiday and headed out last Friday.  We spent time with my Gram every day - took her for a quick walk in the COLD, baked and decorated sugar cookies and let her cheat at Steal the Pile.   It was really hard to say goodbye yesterday.  We'll have to make sure we get back there sooner next time.

In addition to seeing my Gram we were able to visit with a couple sets of aunts and uncles and see a few of my cousins.  Chris cooked us a gourmet dinner on Saturday night and Zander & Sarah killed us all at Scrabble.  We also celebrated with Z&S at their baby shower on Sunday and even got to see a bit of Vanessa!  As always, it was great to see family!   From the pictures it looks like the only person we saw was Gram..... but we did see everyone.  We are already trying to figure out when we can go back!
