Memorial Day Weekend was dedicated to finishing the hallway - the hallway that has consumed our lives for the month of May.  We have been amazed at how long it has taken to paint those blasted walls.  But after two dedicated days, we finished painting the hallway and even conquered two of the three little bedroom closets.  We love what it looks like.  And we will love it even more once we have newly laid hardwood floors and baseboard trim (most likely August).

But for now, we love the vast improvement from the blue walls and brassy gold light fixtures and door knobs.  I love that I finally have a coat closet instead of stacking the coats in a pile on our blanket covered dresser in the family room.  And what we love even most is that the first time since January 29th we have functioning hallway lights!!! Hooray for Lee!
