This last Monday, June 7 was our two year anniversary.  The last two years have seemed to just fly by, yet we feel like we've known each other forever.  The last two years have been pretty perfect and pretty smooth.  I guess that's what you get when you marry the best husband ever!  :)

We decided to tear ourselves away from the home improvement projects and spend a night in Carmel to celebrate our anniversary.  We didn't get out the door as early as we would have liked to last Saturday (June 5), but did get to Carmel early enough in the day to enjoy some pretty amazing beach weather for a few hours.  Carmel couldn't have been more gorgeous.  Unfortunately, we didn't capture the cloudless blue skies and bright sunshine in photos - but we sure did enjoy the afternoon!  We had dinner at Village Corner and even got a table right next to the fire.  Lee was close to melting given that the sun was still blazing at 8pm, but I thought it was perfect.  :)  The food was delicious.  Thank you Amanda for the solid recommendation.

We stayed at a cute B&B in Carmel and enjoyed a leisurely morning before hitting an hour of church in Pacific Grove.  We then headed over to Asilomar Beach for the afternoon.  Unfortunately for us, the traditional coastal fog rolled on in shortly after we arrived.  We hung around for a few hours but then headed back in time to be able to make dinner at home.  We tried a new recipe that we are now huge fans of:  Baked Penne with Corn, Zucchini and Basil. I can't wait to make it again!

Monday was our real anniversary and we went to dinner at Strizzi's, a restaurant in Fremont.  It was our first time dining out in our new town and can thank Jamie for finding it for us and treating us to dinner.  So, thank you Jamie!!

Here's to what I know will be another fabulous year of marriage!
