We just returned home from another long weekend in Wisconsin.  This time it was for Grandma Katie's memorial service.  The memorial was on Saturday and we spent Thursday afternoon and Friday morning preparing for it and getting all the kinks ironed out.   In the evenings we had some quality family time with cousins and aunts and uncles.  The highlight may have been the game of wiffle ball Friday afternoon.  I certainly wish we all had the opportunity to get together more often.  Now that we've lost Grandma Katie, I wonder if opportunities may even be fewer.  It's a thought I don't really like to dwell on and makes me regret not having taken a single picture this weekend.

The memorial service was really nice and everyone's contributions were perfect.  Lee and I spent a gazillion hours over the last few weeks creating a video of pictures and Gram's favorite songs for the service.  It was a pretty emotional process, but worth it.  Everyone loved it.   If you're interested in viewing it (20 minutes long), it's out in our gallery but has a different password.  Email me if you'd like to have it.

We got home super late on Sunday night after a beautiful and leisurely day in Wisconsin.  I'm certainly going to miss my trips out there and we all miss Grandma Katie.
