Since we returned home from Christmas, nothing all that spectacular has been going on.  My work was crazy busy until the 30th of January and it didn't leave time or energy for much.  On the weekends, we've tried to be diligent and get some of the loose ends tied up in our kitchen and family room.  Our biggest achievement was the long awaited back splash!  It still needs caulking, but it's looking awesome.  Before Christmas we had some other big milestones that helped to transform our family room.   Not only did we get a full-sized table, but our new window shades and valances came in.  We love them and what they do for the room.

Despite the craziness of work (for both of us), we've tried to get out and about and be social.  We've done better than usual.  There is no question that having a table that seats more than two people makes a huge difference!  One of our nights out we met Joy and Collin for dinner in the city for Dine About Town.  We ate at Garabaldi's, a delicious (and hearty portions too) meal on Presidio Ave.  We also had a lovely evening at the new Bing Concert Hall on Stanford Campus.  I gave Lee tickets to a concert for Christmas and it was pretty darn incredible.  The hall is gorgeous and the performance was amazing.  We listened to Vivaldi's Four Seasons (on instruments from the 1700's) performed by the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra.   It supposedly has some of the best acoustics in the world - and it's in our backyard.  We'll definitely have to go back.

This last week the girls got together as we normally do for our monthly dinner date, but instead of cooking, we ate out and celebrated Erin's birthday.  I love having one night a month that I know I'll get a chance to hang out and catch up with these fabulous ladies!

We've also been giving the front of our house a face lift (via a little help from our friends).  Things should be wrapped up by the end of the week.  Boy is it looking good!  I'll post a picture when its all wrapped up!
