Hanging around the fire Lee and I were super fortunate to have my parents come visit for nearly two weeks this last fall.   We love it when they come to visit!  Since my dad retired, he's become quite the chef and spoiled us with incredible meals every night they were with us.  They were both nothing but helpful while we had to be at work and we got really used to coming home every night to an amazing meal without any effort on our part.  We hated to see them leave for so many reasons.

While they were here we did a lot of enjoying the new backyard as well as a couple other "big" outings.

Mila's entourage

My parents hadn't yet had the chance to meet cute little Mila and so our first stop was San Francisco for an afternoon with the Tanheads, followed by the tasting menu at Aziza.  We had such an incredible experience there last February that we wanted to share it with my parents.  They loved it as much as we did, and it was fun for us that the menu had changed from our last visit.  The following weekend, Joy, Collin and Mila came back down to our house to experience Monk's pomegranate rack of lamb and roasted parsnips.  AHMAZING.  And they of course, joined us for one of the home Stanford football games.

Dinner at Aziza They also extended their stay to attend the annual LDS Convocation at Stanford Memorial Church.  This year was a special treat and the speakers included one of Lee's good friends and Elder Quentin L. Cook, one of the Twelve Apostles from our church.   It was a privilege to hear him speak that evening as well as attend a special lunch meeting specifically for Stanford LDS staff, students, faculty and their spouses.

We had a fabulous visit with my parents and wish they could visit more often - they are the best!
