The Merrick Cousins Our Christmas present to Lee's mom this last year was for him to go to Idaho and work on any open projects for three days.  We chose to go in mid-April after the forum when I had a long weekend AND we knew with certainty we'd be able to meet the newest nephew, Cord Merrick.  Who just happened to arrive three weeks early on my dad's birthday! Cord and Uncle Lee

I had to work remotely for a bit each day but when I wasn't working I took advantage of time off!  I went for a few runs, I had lunch with my sisters-in-law, hung out with cute baby Cord, watched Kate play volleyball, hung with our nieces and nephews... It was great.   I got to have a grand time while Lee configured a wiring panel, installed back splash, connected a home sound system and various other odds and ends.   During the evenings though Lee paused on the projects and we gathered with the Merrick siblings and enjoyed dinner together.   We hit Sizzler for the first time since I was 16, we had pizza, twice, and the best meal of all was the smoked pulled pork at Bryce and Elaine's to celebrate all the April birthdays.    The Boise crew even drove over for the day so we ALL got to hang out.  It was great seeing everyone and the days just flew by!

The few pictures we took are here.
