Work in progress We originally had a campsite reservation at Redwood National Park for Memorial Day weekend, but we decided we wanted to stick around instead of getting back on the road.  Plus, I got it in my head to finally paint the backside of the house and knew it would drag on and on if we didn't take advantage of the three-day weekend.

Skoll is awfully generous and we often get the afternoon before a long weekend off.  I took advantage of that on Friday of Memorial Day weekend to wash the back of the house and prep it for paint.   Saturday morning (after an awesome ride with Jenn) I primed.  Fully Painted - One Coat on the Closet Wall I had big plans of getting the entire back of the house done, but there were just too many windows and doors that took too long to cut in.  I had to settle for the patio area only.  Still, that felt pretty good.  And on Monday, with Lee's help cutting in, I managed to get two coats of paint on the walls of the house on the patio.  It looks SO much better!  Not only do we love the color change, but no longer having to stare at the primed rectangle around the sliding glass door is wonderful!

The following weekend I managed to get primer on the last stretch of the backside of the house and the first coat of paint.  I opted for a bike ride instead of the second coat (went against everything in me that needs closure).  But at least that first coat was a solid one.  I'll get the second coat on the next plan-free Saturday.   We really are liking the change.    Just one more side of the house to tackle...
